As part of our theory task we have to write a short response answering the following questions.

Questions

‘Art Should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.’ Banksy

Explain how Pop Art and/or Street art can be a comment made by an artist about the world in which they live?

Explain- Relate cause and effect; make the relationships between things evident; provide why and/or how?

In this short answer response I spoke about Banksy and how the world around influenced him in what he did is artworks on. Banksy has done lots of controversial topics that has been influenced by the world such as politics, poverty and war. I decided to focus on the artworks that Banksy did in the west bank. These are focus in a war torn country with a lot of the artworks being influenced by freedom.

I decided to focus on this artwork and look how this was influenced by the world around him. I also looked at the cause and effect of this artwork with different symbols. When looking the west bank artworks it showed that the artworks disturb the people who trapped the innocent people in the west bank. It conforted the people in the west bank to show that there was hope that one day they might be free.
