Laser Cutter Creation

Last term we started to create a laser cutter for a stencil like banksy work. Instead of doing a stencil we decided to cut it out on perspex.

My intention for this laser cutter was to show how people sit on there phones and laptops at lunchtime.

People don't really talk so much at lunch time so I decided to do a sarcastic quote about socializing with friends. These friends sit together but they would rather talk on there phones and laptops instead with there voices.

I created this artwork using illustrator and the red line is were it cut it out. Before the laser cutting process we change the line to blue so it will engrave it and change the words to black so it will make it white.
